PHYSICAL TESTING


The physical testing is ranked by the number of sit ups, push ups, your flexibility and your level on the shuttle run.  There are also some basic vital sign parameters that each applicant must meet in order to continue with the testing.

Notes:

1. All applicants are graded equally, regardless of age or gender.

2. Applicants must pass 3 out of 4 components and have a cumulative score of 240 to pass.

3. A pass on any component is 60 points.

4. Final grading of the physical test is either pass or fail and contributes to the selection procedure in that form only.

5.  Applicants will be asked to leave the testing if they diplay any of the following problems:

  • heart rate >170 bpm
  • systolic blood pressure >250 mmhg
  • diastolic blood pressure >110 mmhg
  • a decrease in blood pressure with the increased work load
  • significant signs of an unstable medical condition.
